AIM AND SCOPE
This workshop is soliciting papers with contributions on novel
theoretical approaches or practical applications of navigation and
perception for intelligent vehicles in real and complex environments.
In-depth analyses of state-of-the-art are also encouraged
for submission.

The workshop will have a strong demonstration orientation. Authors
willing to present their innovative ideas by means of
software demonstrators, videos, or live demos are welcome.

The topics include, but are not limited to, advances in the following areas:
- Navigation and guidance
- Environment perception
- Lane detection, lane-keeping and lane-level applications
- Vehicle and pedestrian detection
- Collision detection and avoidance
- Autonomous vehicle cooperation
- Cooperative maneuvers
- Driver Assistance
- Road and obstacle detection and tracking
- Environment representation
- Automatic cruise control systems
- Cooperative perception
- 3D reconstruction
- New perception systems
- GNSS-based navigation
- Multi-sensor integration
- Filtering techniques for positioning
- Map-matching and map-aided location
- Road safety applications
- Reliability-critical applications


INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS
Authors are invited to submit their manuscripts of maximum 6 pages in
standard IEEE double column PDF format via the
workshop website for peer-review by the workshop International Program
Committee. Papers will be included in the workshop
proceedings in a digital format and will be made available to the
participants of all the workshops at the IV'13. Acceptance of a
paper is made with the understanding that at least one author will
attend the workshop to present the paper.


AWARDS
Best workshop paper and demonstration will be acknowledged at the end
of the workshop and will receive awards.


PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITY
A special issue in an important journal of the field for the best
papers of the workshop is envisaged.
