We extend the call for participation to early career scholars, doctoral and post-doctoral candidates and researchers who are interested in gaining more insight into the practices of high caliber research and publishing and whose research focuses on Organizational Communication & Information Systems. Join us for a workshop, whose goal is to help junior scholars attain a deeper understanding of the review process of highly renowned A and A+ journals as well as gain new insights and receive support from senior scholars in identifying room for improvement in their own work. The workshop will be mentored by a distinguished panel of academic researchers including: - Prof. Mike Chiasson, Lancaster University Management School, UK - Prof. Elizabeth Davidson, University of Hawaii at Manoa, USA - Prof. Ulrike Schultze, SMU COX School of Business, USA and Lund University, Sweden - Prof. Yuqing (Ching) Ren, University Minnesota, USA The workshop consists of two parts: During part I the participating senior scholars will demonstrate the review process with reference to their own publications, identify difficulties, and offer insights and tips on improving the chances of access to high impact and high caliber publishing outlets especially focusing on the process management of their own publications. In part II the mentors will work directly with participants in small groups and discuss work-in-progress papers of researchers in-depth through a roundtable discussion. How can I attend the workshop? The submission and acceptance of a work-in-progress paper is required. The paper submission deadline is March 4, 2013. Authors will be notified by April 1, 2013 if their papers have been accepted. The space for participants is limited to a maximum of 25, therefore it is important to submit your work early. Expected costs will be 30 € for each participant attending the workshop.
