CALL FOR PAPERS
Special Session on Pattern Recognition and Image Processing in Robotics held in conjunction with the 8th International Conference on Computer Recognition Systems Milkow, Poland 27-29 May 2013 INTRODUCTION Over the last years the importance of image processing and pattern recognition methods in the robotics has been constantly increasing. The introduction of novel algorithms, and sensors, and increasing availability of computational resources has led to a number of exciting new applications in this field. The main goal of the session is to bring together the theorists and practitioners interested in the development of pattern recognition and image processing algorithms aimed specifically at applications in robotics. SCOPE The session topics include but are not limited to: -visual navigation, self-localization and SLAM -scene reconstruction, recognition and understanding -feature detection, description and matching -visual servoing -learning from sensory/visual data -multi-sensor fusion -multi-robot systems -natural human-robot interaction using vision, speech, etc. -machine intelligence applications in robotics IMPORTANT DATES Submission of papers: January 20,2013 Notification of acceptance: February 3, 2013 Submission of camera-ready papers: February 17, 2013 PAPER SUBMISSION Prospective authors are invited to submit papers of maximum 10 pages including results, figures and references. For LaTeX template and instructions please visit: http://cores.pwr.wroc.pl/authors.htm To submit your paper please visit: https://www.easychair.org/account/signin.cgi?conf=cores2013 and select Pattern Recognition and Image Processing in Robotics track.
