Scope:
The wavelet transform is widely used in many fields such as signal processing, image processing and numerical computation of differential equations. Wavelet analysis theory is still ongoing and applied to many fields. On the other hand, validated numerics is developed and expected to bridge the gap between a numerically observed phenomenon, and its mathematical counter-part. Main techniques and tools in this field are interval arithmetic, floating-point computations with switching rounding mode, symbolic approaches, formal proofs and so on. Both wavelets and validated numerics are powerful tools in applied mathematics with applications such as image processing and numerical simulation. However, wavelets are not well known in the field of validated numerics and vice versa at the present. In the track on Wavelets and Validated Numerics, we intend to share the recent and advanced wavelet theory and validated numerics, and discuss new possibilities for wavelets and validated numerics. Topics: Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: Wavelet transforms Wavelet-based signal and image processing Wavelets in applied mathematics Wavelets and its applications Combining wavelets and validated numerics Verified numerical computations Computer-assisted proofs and verification for differential equations Interval analysis and its applications Industrial and scientific applications of verified numerical computations Numerical computation and reliability Numerical analysis Paper Submission: Authors should submit a 6-page version of their original and unpublished work including 5 keywords in the CPS format to their respective track/session chair. Papers that do not fit the scope of any of the existing sessions, should be submitted to the ITNG General Track. Electronic submission in the PDF format or Word document is strongly encouraged. Per ITNG policy, all papers will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. Accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings published by the Conference Publishing Services-CPS. Selected papers presented in the conference will be considered for publication in a special issue of an international journal. Evaluation Process Papers will be evaluated for originality, significance, clarity, and soundness. Per ITNG policy, except for invited papers, all papers will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings with an ISBN. Best Student Paper: The Best Student Paper will be awarded at the conference. To be eligible, the student must be the sole author of the paper, or the first author and primary contributor. (The winner of the award will present the paper in a plenary session at the conference). A cover letter to the General Chair/Track Chair must identify the paper as a candidate for this competition at the time of submission. |
