In recent years, BI and e-Business Applications have been developed as independent research fields which has received considerable amount of attention. The main challenges now are how BI can be fused into an e-Business application as a part of the business processes. Some advantages of integrating BI into e-Business applications include facilitating automation and decision making capabilities with real-time knowledge by software agents.
When the two trends couple, new emerging models of e-Business applications become possible. The goal of this workshop is to bring together members of research communities of the business intelligence and e-business applications to consider the current state of the two fields, and identify technical possibilities and opportunities of new models, in the interaction between the two areas. ------------------------------------------------------------- Topics - Innovative e-Business models - Advances on business intelligence - Competitive intelligence Web intelligence - Emergent e-Business applications - Ubiquitous/Pervasive Computing - Workflow and business process management for e-Business - Web 2.0 & social networking Knowledge management - Web information retrieval - Web/Data mining - Web services - Customer relationship management - Collaborative filtering / recommenders - Information technology for e-Business applications and systems - Agent-based knowledge discovery - Data analytics and visualization tools - Industrial experiences on BI and e-Business applications are welcome ------------------------------------------------------------- Important Dates Paper Submission: May 15, 2009 Notification of acceptance: June 1, 2009 Final manuscripts due: June 25, 2009 Author registration: June 25, 2009 ------------------------------------------------------------- Paper Submission Instructions Papers submitted for review must be in the IEEE format (8.5" x 11", two-column), maximum 8 pages in length.
