Call for workshop proposals
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The 2016 British HCI is one of the premier venues for presenting innovative systems and research results related to the Human Computer Interaction.
We invite you to submit a proposal for a co-located workshop on a topic of interest to HCI attendees. We are particularly interested in receiving proposals aligned with this year’s conference topic of “Fusion! HCI across Disciplines.”
Accepted workshop papers will form part of the conference workshop proceedings. These proceedings will be published in the BCS Electronic Workshops in Computing, and will appear in the ACM Digital Library.

Submission Guidelines
Workshop proposals should be no more than 4 pages, and should follow the eWiC template (http://ewic.bcs.org/category/15364). Proposal must contain the following sections:
1. Title
2. Abstract: 200 word summary of the workshop purpose and objectives
3. Motivation: Why is the topic timely and of particular interest to HCI participants? (one to three paragraphs)
4. Topics: What topics of interest will be covered by the workshop? (bulleted list, no longer than half a page)
5. Workshop Format: The intended mix of events, such as paper presentations, invited talks, and general discussion (either a tabular schedule or a one paragraph summary)
6. Audience: Who and how many people are likely to attend? (one paragraph)
7. [Optional] Alternative publication strategy should organisers not wish to publish their papers in the conference workshop proceedings.
8. Chair(s): Name, affiliation, email address, homepage and short (one paragraph) biography of each chair, explaining their expertise for the workshop

Selection Process
The decision on acceptance or rejection of a workshop proposal will be made on the basis of the overall quality of the proposal and its appeal to a reasonable fraction of the HCI community. This will be reviewed by a jury of experts who will assess the proposal based on the following criteria:
1. the topic falls in the general scope of British HCI 2016
2. there is a clear focus on a specific technology, problem or application
3. there is a sufficiently large community interested in the topic
