Introduction
In January 2011 the first Belgian Network Research Event was organized at the VUB. The event was set up as a meeting of researchers who apply Social Network Analysis (SNA) in their own field. The aim was to create a platform for exchange and feedback on network based research. Participants highly valued this feedback and expressed the need for future meetings. We therefore announce the second Belgian Social Network Meeting , which takes place on September 7th 2012 at the University of Antwerp. Social Network Analysis It is widely recognized that the popularity of Social Network Analysis (SNA) increases exponentially. SNA methods are used to answer research questions from different scientific disciplines such as economics, sociology, communication studies, history and biology. In this seminar we bring together researchers from different backgrounds, universities and research groups that use Social Network Analysis (SNA) methods. Meeting's goal The main aim of the seminar is to provide feedback on ongoing research from a methodological perspective. We welcome researchers in both early and more advanced stages of their research. Therefore we will organize both oral presentations and poster presentations. Practical details We invite both starting as experienced researchers to send their abstracts and present their research project or findings. You can send your abstracts to: Please keep in mind that we have to receive your abstract before the 31st of July. Please mention if you want to apply for a poster session or an oral presentation during one of the sessions. The suggested length of abstracts is between 250 and 500 words. The seminar is organized in the University of Antwerp, City Campus (building De Meerminne) it will take place on September 7th 2012.
