The Institute of Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Geophysics (Russian Academy of Sciences) and the Saint Petersburg State Polytechnical University (SPbSPU) are jointly organizing the 12th International Conference on Parallel Computing Technologies (PaCT-2013) to be held in St. Petersburg, Russia, September 30 - October 4, 2013.
The previous eleven conferences were held in Novosibirsk (1991), Obninsk (1993), St. Petersburg (1995, LNCS Vol. 964), Yaroslavl (1997, LNCS Vol. 1277), Pushkino (1999, LNCS Vol. 1662), Novosibirsk (2001, LNCS Vol. 2127), Nizhniy Novgorod (2003, LNCS Vol. 2763), Krasnoyarsk (2005, LNCS Vol. 3606), Pereslavl-Zalessky (2007, LNCS Vol. 4671), Novosibirsk (2009, LNCS Vol. 5698) and Kazan (2011, LNCS Vol. 6873). The aim of the PaCT-2013 is to give an overview of new developments, applications, and trends in parallel computing technologies. We sincerely hope that the conference will help our community to deepen understanding of parallel computing technologies by providing a forum for an exchange of views between scientists and specialists from all over the world. Main topics All technological aspects of the applications of parallel computer systems High level parallel programming languages and systems Methods and tools for parallel solution of large-scale problems Languages, environments and software tools supporting parallel processing Operating systems, scheduling, mapping and load balancing General architectural concepts Cellular automata Performance measurement and analysis tools Teaching parallel processing Software for grid and cloud computing Scalable computing Fragmentation and aggregation of algorithms and programs Programs assembling and reuse Call for Papers Original papers are solicited for the conference. A full paper (up to 15 pages) should be submitted by February 11, 2013. An extended abstract (5-7 pages) can be submitted by February 25, 2013. Please, bear in mind that it is more difficult for the Program Committee to decide about your work having just an abstract in hand. All contributions will be reviewed by the international Program Committee. Authors will be notified of acceptance by April 8, 2013. We will require camera-ready full papers by May 27, 2013. In order to submit a paper or just indicate your interest in the PaCT-2013, use "Paper submission" link at the site of the conference and follow the instructions which you will find there. If you face any difficulties using this site, please contact the Secretary ( pact2013@ssd.sscc.ru). Only electronic submission of manuscripts is possible. The first page should include (but not be limited to) the following information: title, authors’ full names, affiliation, addresses, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail addresses. To gain the better understanding of your abstract, we also request it to include the following information: short review of related papers, formulation of the problem, objectives, description of results, main ideas, and list of references. The organizers expect that the authors of selected papers will present their work at the Conference. Technical details Submissions should be prepared in the style of Springer Verlag LNCS series (Microsoft Word, LaTex). Proceedings The Conference Proceedings is planned to be published as a volume of the Springer Verlag LNCS (Lecture Notes in Computer Science) series and distributed at the Conference. We plan also to publish selected papers in a special issue of an international journal. Language The official language of the Conference is English. Important dates Submission of the full paper: February 11, 2013 Deadline for extended abstracts: February 25, 2013 Notification of acceptance: April 8, 2013 Camera-ready version of the accepted paper: May 27, 2013 We have an earlier deadline for full papers in order to reserve enough time for high quality reviewing. However we also consider extended abstracts and select promising works to be prepared before the camera-ready submission deadline. |
