Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||
Wireless Sensor Networks have been paid attention during the last decade. Nowadays, CMOS cameras and microphones allow enlarge the scope of WSNs to capture rich multimedia data. However, most of the protocols, mechanisms and architectures researched for WSN are not able to cope with the amount of data that multimedia applications such as video streaming, multimedia object detection or multimedia object monitoring produce. The aim of this workshop is to bring to the research community the last advances and research in this area and serve as point of exchanging ideas and share experiences between academic, research center and industry practicioners.
WMSN 2013 will be done in conjunction with The 9th International Conference on Wireless and Mobile Computing, Networking and Communications (WiMob 2013). MWSN 2013 is inviting authors to submit papers presenting technical challenges, new research, comprehensive in-depth tutorial surveys, position papers, standardization efforts in the context of Wireless Multimedia Sensor (WMSN) Networks. All submissions must be original contributions not published or currently under review for another workshop, conference, or journal. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: * Novel WMSN Architectures and protocols * Overview of state-of-the-art related to WMSN communication technologies, standards and open challenges * Cross-layer design and optimization for WMSN * Multi-tier Heterogeneous Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks * MAC in WMSN * Routing in WMSN * Efficient Transport in WMSN * QoS in Wireless Multimedia Sensor Networks * Interconnection of WMSN with other networks * Multimedia aggregation and fusion, and multimedia sensor coverage in WMSN * Object Detection, Object Monitoring and Tracking in WMSN * Video Streaming in WMSN * Coding techniques in WMSN * Control rate in WMSN * Security in WMSN * Energy Conservation and Management in WMSN * Experimental and test bed studies, simulation tools * Topology control, localization, synchronization in WMSN * Cooperative communications in WMSN Organization Committees General Chairs * Jose M.
