Call For Papers

The ASE/IEEE International Conference on Social Computing (SocialCom) will take place in Amsterdam (The Netherlands), September 3-6, 2012. The focus of SocialCom is on information and communication technologies aimed at modeling, analysis and synthesis of social interactions. The program will cover the whole spectrum of contexts where computers play a role in human-human and human-machine interaction, from co-located, face-to-face dyadic interactions up to large-scale on-line social networks.

The conference will be articulated into two tracks and the topics include (but are not limited to) the following:

SSP in Human-Computer Interaction and Interface Design
SSP in Robot's Cognition and Action
Data Mining, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Artificial Intelligence in Social Contexts
Social Signal Processing Systems Design and Architectures
Socially-Adept Interfaces
Implicit (Human-Behavior-Based) Tagging
Reality Mining Systems

Submissions must be formatted according to IEEE guidelines and include regular (10 pages), short (6 pages) and poster papers (2 pages). Accepted regular papers will be presented as oral, short papers will be presented as oral or poster depending on the reviews, poster papers will be presented exclusively as poster.
