Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||||
The latest trends towards creating software ecosystems on emerging software platforms, such as clouds, cyber-physical systems, or social media are bringing up new approaches to software and systems development. This also leads to new opportunities and challenges regarding development processes, such as process interoperability, scalability, or the coordination of multiple platforms and lifecycles.
The ICSSP conference, continuing the success of ICSP conference series, has become an established premier event in the field of software and systems engineering process. It provides a leading forum for the exchange of research outcomes and industrial best-practices in process development from software and systems disciplines. ICSSP 2013 aims at investigating novel solutions to today’s process challenges, and invites papers describing completed research or advanced work-in-progress in all areas of software and systems engineering process as well as processes in other domains, including (but not limited to): Development processes for emerging software platforms, such as Clouds, social networks or cyber physical systems Processes for developing adaptive systems, dependable systems, systems of systems and software ecosystems Agile/Lean processes in (software) systems development Disciplined/Rich development processes and process models Process issues in developing embedded systems, automotive systems, medical device systems, military applications, automation systems and enterprise systems Processes in non-software domains (e.g., business, health care, manufacturing, transportation, etc.) with a demonstrated relationship to software process challenges Continuous process improvement in diverse areas and contex Distributed/Global development and large-scale processes Processes for COTS and OSS development Process modeling, simulation and analysis Process/Project management and assessment Process metrics and tools Cost estimation and project planning Processes for cutting-edge software technologies, including (but not limited to) multi-core technologies, cellular technologies, and search engine technologies Empirical studies and experience reports, encompassing complete or parts of software and systems development lifecycle For ICSSP 2013, we invite full papers (maximum length 10 pages) and short papers (maximum length 5 pages). Topics suitable for full papers include completed and evaluated research on novel approaches to major software and systems engineering process challenges and in-depth experience reports of significance for the community. Topics for short papers include experience reports, work-in-progress research papers (e.g. Ph.D work), and position papers addressing open research questions and future research directions. All papers must conform at time of submission to ACM Format and Submission Guidelines, and must obey the page limit, including all text, references, appendices, and figures. Submitted papers must be in English and in PDF format. The instructions will be posted on the conference website soon. The International Software Process Association (ISPA) expects to provide financial assistance to graduate students with accepted papers to help defray costs of attending ICSSP. Details will be published on the conference website. |
