MMSP 2012 is the 14th international workshop on multimedia signal processing. The workshop is organized by the Multimedia Signal Processing Technical Committee of the IEEE Signal Processing Society. The focus theme for this workshop is media-sharing social networks.
A new initiative in MMSP 2012 is the On-going Work Poster Presentation, which aims to present research that is of interest to the general multimedia signal processing community but immature to warrant a full paper. Authors are invited to submit a 2-page description of new research ideas and on-going projects from all areas related to multimedia signal processing to MMSP 2012. Topics of interest for submission include, but are not limited to the following topics, covering the general scope of multimedia signal processing: * Behaviour dynamics, social intelligence and social cognition Behaviour modelling and analysis in social networks; Trust and belief in social contexts; Securing mechanisms and privacy in social networks; Cognitive modelling, machine learning/understanding * Multimedia Systems and Emerging Applications Social media networks; Virtual classroom and distance learning; E-Health and telemedicine; Mobile, sensor, or human networks; Human computer interaction; Multimedia hardware and software * Multimedia Signal Processing Multimedia communications and networking; Multimedia database and digital libraries, multimedia indexing and retrieval, multimedia representation and search; Multimedia content analysis; Multimedia security and forensics; Multimedia interaction; Virtual reality and 3D imaging Submitted on-going work papers must follow the two-column IEEE style format with a maximum of 2 pages. Please visit the workshop website http://www.mmsp2012.org for IEEE templates and submission details. Important Dates On-going Work Paper Submission: June 30 2012 Author Notification: July 31 2012 Accepted papers will be presented as posters and included in the digital media of the workshop.
