Mobile Commerce (M-Commerce) comprises applications and services that are accessible from mobile devices. It involves new technologies, services, and business models as well as the traditional telecommunication infrastructure and industry. Mobile devices, such as smart phones or tablets, open the door to a great assortment of new applications and services. Location and other context information is used to tailor services according to the needs of the user. The number of mobile services available is constantly increasing and evolving towards manageable and practical applications, for private use as well as in an enterprise context. On the other hand, the services provided by the telecom operators around the globe require continuous reinventing and upgrading of data centers, networks and software.
The goal of TAMOCO is to bring together researchers and practitioners that work in different aspects of mobile services and telecommunication in the context of business applications and commercial implementation. This includes the incorporation of web services and cloud-based services, autonomic mobile computing, and the integration and interplay with urban systems and other contexts. Additionally, application areas such as e.g. mobile learning and extended enterprise are covered. Topics include, but are not limited to: Analysis and Design of mobile web-service based applications Design and programming techniques for web-service based systems Applications of emergent self-organization Autonomic middleware for mobile computing Measurement, control, and evaluation of urban infrastructure Integration of mobile solutions in urban infrastructure Standards and norms for the design and application of services Languages and methods for mobile based information systems Enabling technologies for ubiquitous systems Security, privacy and legal issues Survey's and state of the art reports Tools, technologies and platforms for mobile applications Governance models of mobile computation Network design and optimisation Resource dependent quality of service commitments Important Dates Paper submission: April 22, 2012 Author notification: June 17, 2012 Final submission and registration: July 8, 2012 Conference date: September 9-12, 2012 Paper submission and Publication Papers will be refereed and accepted on the basis of their scientific merit and relevance to the workshop. The total length of a paper should not exceed 8 pages (IEEE style). IEEE style templates are available here. Authors should submit PDF files.
