The INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS - ICMaS 2012, has the roots in the first machine tools conference founded in 1974 by the Machine Tools Department of the University "Politehnica" of Bucharest, Romania.

The main objectives of the conference are providing an international forum for exchanging knowledge, experience, results and information related to various aspects of the advanced manufacturing systems. The conference offers a unique opportunity for experts in this domain to share their experience.

The conference publishes papers in the following main fields:

• Machine Tools

• Robotics

• Industrial Logistics

• Machines and equipment

• Driving systems and control systems

• Cutting and cutting tools

• Flexible manufacturing systems

• Advanced manufacturing technologies

• CAD, CAM, CAE techniques and applications

• Industrial management and marketing

The papers accepted for ICMaS 2012 will be published in the journal

Proceedings in Manufacturing Systems, ISSN 2067-9238

under the care of the Romanian Academy Publishing House, and will be also available on CD.
