Theme
Technological advancements have been substantially influencing medical sciences, enabling their accelerated development. The goal is to provide relevant data about health problems, aiming to improve diagnosis, afford higher quality of life for people and to extend the theoretical knowledge. The technology provides more precise and accurate insight into domains difficult or even impossible to be monitored by a human observer. For mental health related sciences this afforded a number of benefits related to allowing for the continuous state assessment, evaluation of the effectiveness of therapy and medication, self-treatment support and much more. Mental disorders affect around a quarter of all people at some time during their life. Apart from their treatment, special emphasis should be put on the prevention of healthy subjects aiming to their cognitive well-being. Topics of Interest The focus of the workshop is placed on the exploitation of technology in favor of cognitive and emotional well-being. We are looking for the research contributions on topics including but not limited to: - IT Systems for Mental Health - Architectures for Mental Support Systems - Evaluation of IT systems for Mental Health - Ambient Intelligence in Mental Health - Artificial Intelligence Techniques in Mental Health - Pervasive Computing in Mental Health - Utilization of Physiological Measurements in Mental Health - Relation between Physiological Measurements and Mental states - Mental Health and Medication Support - Mobile Devices in Mental Health - ICT-based Systems for the Assessment of Psychological Stress - Unobtrusive Tracking of Long-term Cognitive Changes - Automatic Mood Recognition - Employing Bio and Activity Sensors to Monitor Mental Health - Virtual Reality Approaches for Therapy - Persuasive Solutions for Relieving Stress/Improving Mood State - Investigating the Influence of Environmental Factors on Emotional Status Submission We invite researchers interested in these topics to submit a workshop paper (2-4 pages) using the IEEE format for papers.
