Call For Papers

Security engineering is a field of engineering dealing in developing detailed engineering designs for secure information systems (ISs) and for security of spaces. Security engineering involves aspects of software engineering, cryptography, and economics, as well as mathematics and architecture. Due to recent security attacks to ISs, which have security vulnerabilities, security engineering has quickly become an important field in order to develop more secure ISs.
The First International Workshop on Security Engineering for Secure Information Systems (SESIS 2012) aims to share ideas on the foundations, techniques, tools and applications of security engineering. This workshop will provide a forum for computer scientists, computer engineers, software engineers, and application developers who are required to design and develop information systems with high security.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Security requirements analysis methods and models for ISs
- Security design (modeling) methods and models for ISs
- Secure coding methods and models for ISs
- Security testing methods and models for ISs
- Security management methods and models for ISs
- Security engineering for system evaluation and assurance
- Security engineering methodologies for ISs
- Security risk assessment methods and models for ISs
- Security architectures for ISs
- Security policy for ISs
- Case studies experience reports on security engineering
- Security engineering support tools

==Paper Submission and Proceeding==
There will be a combination of presentations including scientific papers. Prospective authors are invited, in the first instance, to submit papers for oral presentations in any of the areas of interest for this conference. Authors should submit a paper with 6-8 pages in length, including all figures, tables, and references. If you want to submit more than page limitation, you can add up to 2 extra pages with the appropriate fee payment.

Papers must strictly adhere to page limits as follows.
- Full Paper: 8 pages (Max 2 extra pages allowed at additional cost)
- Regular Paper: 6 pages (Max 2 extra pages allowed at additional cost)
Papers exceeding the page limits will be rejected without review.

Please use the Springer Proceedings format for submission. Template is available here:
