Special Session on Technology Intelligence and Applications Date: Dec. X, 2012(TBD) Venue: Macau, China Conference Website: http://www.fst.umac.mo/wic2012/ISMIS/ [About ISMIS] The scope of ISMIS is intended to represent a wide range of topics on applying Artificial Intelligence techniques to areas as diverse as decision support, automated deduction, reasoning, knowledge based systems, machine learning, computer vision, robotics, planning, databases, information retrieval, etc. The focus is on research in intelligent systems. The conference addresses issues involving solutions to problems that are complex to be solved through conventional approaches and that require the simulation of intelligent thought processes, heuristics and applications of knowledge. The integration of these multiple approaches in solving complex problems is of particular importance. ISMIS provides a forum and a means for exchanging information for those interested purely in theory, those interested primarily in implementation, and those interested in specific research and industrial applications. [Special Session on Technology Intelligence and Applications] To support decision-making with strategic foresight rightly, the combination of technology intelligence, political environment foresight, competitive intelligence, and consumer insight should be promised. As one of such important abilities, technology intelligence can be defined as activity that enables companies to identify the technological opportunities and threats that could affect the future growth and survival of their business. Thus, it needs to analyze technology trends, to forecast their sustainability, and furthermore to predict the next big wave by exploiting trawl, mine, scan, and target methods. We seek high-qualified, original submissions of reports on research covering all the aspects of technology intelligence creation, promotion, and delivering methodologies based on the current information overload. The topics include but are not limited to the following: Big Data Gathering and Management Big Data Mining on technologies and their relations Monitoring Social/Web Stream Data Sources Integration of Data Sources Ontology Modeling and Semantic Web Technologies Social/Open/Linked Data and its Applications Information Analytics Technology Trends Analysis and Prediction [Submission Guidelines] - Authors are invited to submit their manuscript in LNCS/LNAI style (please see this page), maximum 10 pages. - Paper should be submitted in PDF form via ISMIS 2012 Online Submission System: http://wi-lab.com/cyberchair/2012/ismis12/cbc_index.html - The submitted papers will be reviewed by the following program committees of this session [Important Dates] Electronic submission of full papers : June 1, 2012 Notification of paper acceptance : August 1, 2012 Camera-ready of accepted papers : August 31, 2012 Conference : December 5-7, 2012 [ORGANIZING COMMITTEE] Session Chair: Hanmin Jung KISTI, Korea (jhm@kisti.re.kr) Program Committees: Brahmananda Sapkota University of Twente, Netherlands Chengzhi Zhang Nanjing University of Science and Technology, China Haklae Kim Samsung Electronics Inc., Korea In-Su Kang Computer Science and Engineering, Kyungsung University, Korea Kazunari Sugiyama National University of Singapore, Singapore Michaela Geierhos Munich University, Germany Qing Li Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE), China Sa-Kwang Song Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information, Korea Seung-Hoon Na National University of Singapore, Singapore Seungwoo Lee Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information, Korea Yeong Su Lee Munich University, Germany Zhangbing Zhou Institut TELECOM & Management SudParis, France Zhixiong Zhang National Science Library, China Zhu Lijun ISTIC, China |
