Call For Papers

Dear colleagues,

On behalf of the Guest Editor, Prof. Dr. Dale W. Johnson, we would like
to renew our invitation for you to contribute an outstanding long review or
full research paper for peer-review and possible publication in the following
Special Issue:

Special Issue: Long-Term Effects of Fire on Forest Soils
Website: http://www.mdpi.com/si/forests/fire_soils/
Guest Editor: Prof. Dr. Dale W. Johnson
Deadline for manuscript submissions: 30 April 2012

If you decide to contribute, please let us know, and send us your
manuscript now or up until the deadline. Submitted papers should not have
been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication
elsewhere. We also encourage authors to send us their tentative title and
short abstract by e-mail for approval to the Editorial Office at
forests@mdpi.com. In case you cannot meet the deadline, please feel free
to contact us.

This Special Issue will be fully open access. Open access (unlimited and
free access by readers) increases publicity and promotes more frequent
citations as indicated by several studies. Open access is supported by the
authors and their institutes. More information is available at
http://www.mdpi.com/about/openaccess/.

Article Processing Charges (APC) are waived for well prepared
manuscripts before 1 July 2012. The APC for manuscripts submitted from
1 July 2012 onwards are 300 CHF per accepted paper. In addition, a fee
of 250 CHF will apply if extensive English corrections must be done by the
editors. For details see: http://www.mdpi.com/about/apc/

Please visit the Instructions for Authors before submitting a manuscript:
http://www.mdpi.com/journal/forests/instructions/ Manuscripts should be
submitted through the online manuscript submission and editorial system at
http://www.mdpi.com/user/manuscripts/upload/.
