Call For Papers

Dear colleagues,

The following Special Issue will be published in Vaccines (ISSN 2076-
393X, http://www.mdpi.com/journal/vaccines/) and is now open to receive
submissions of full research papers and/or comprehensive review for peer-
review and possible publication in open access form. On behalf of the
Editor-in-Chief, we would like to invite you to submit a manuscript
containing original work and/or a review on your recent work for free full
open access publishing. All charges will be waived for your accepted paper.
Authors retain all the copyrights. Readers all over the world are free to
download the full text.

Special Issue: Feature Papers
Website: http://www.mdpi.com/si/vaccines/vaccines_feature_papers/
Editor-in-Chief: Prof. Dr. Diane M. Harper
Deadline for manuscript submissions: 15 November 2012

You may submit your manuscript now or up until the deadline.
Submitted papers should not have been published previously, nor be under
consideration for publication elsewhere. We also encourage authors to send
us their tentative title and short abstract by e-mail for approval to the
Editorial Office at vaccines@mdpi.com.

This Special Issue will be fully open access, with Article Processing
Charges (APC) waived for well prepared manuscripts. Open access
(unlimited and free access by readers) increases publicity and promotes
more frequent citations, as indicated by several studies. Open access is
supported by the authors and their institutes. More information is available
at http://www.mdpi.com/about/openaccess/.

Please visit the Instructions for Authors before submitting a manuscript:
http://www.mdpi.com/journal/vaccines/instructions/. Manuscripts should be
submitted through the online manuscript submission and editorial system at
http://www.mdpi.com/user/manuscripts/upload/.

Vaccines will be an international, peer-reviewed, full open access journal
(free to read on the Internet) which provides an advanced academic forum
for scientific researches focusing on laboratory and clinical vaccine
research, utilization and immunization. More details about the Aims and
Scopes are available at http://www.mdpi.com/journal/vaccines/about/.
Vaccines will aim at a rapid editorial procedure and a rigorous peer-review
system. Because it is an open access journal, which is free to access and
read all over the Internet, papers published will receive high publicity. The
publisher will submit application for Vaccines to the LSTRC next year to be
indexed by PubMed, as well as other famous third part databases.

Vaccines is an online only journal (no printed edition, however, hard copy
reprints can be ordered). The Editorial Offices are located in Basel,
Switzerland and Beijing, China. An international Editorial Board of leading
experts has been set up to supervise the operation and development of this
journal. The Editorial Board can be found at:
http://www.mdpi.com/journal/vaccines/editors/.
The Editorial team consists of trained scientists (Editor-in-Chief: Prof. Dr.
Diane M. Harper from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of
Medicine, USA; Publisher: Dr. Shu-Kun Lin, PhD from the ETH Zürich;
Production Editor: Dr. Brietta Pike, PhD from the University of Melbourne;
Managing Editor: Mr. June Cao, M. Sc. from Tsinghua University).

MDPI publishes several peer-reviewed, open access journals listed at
http://www.mdpi.com/. The Editorial Board members, including several
Nobel Laureates (http://www.mdpi.com/about/nobelists/), are all leading
active scholars. All MDPI journals maintain rapid, yet rigorous, peer-
review, manuscript handling and editorial processes. MDPI journals have
increased their impact factors, see "2010 Newly Released Impact Factors",
http://www.mdpi.com/about/announcements/121/.

In case of questions, please contact Vaccines Editorial Office at:
vaccines@mdpi.com or Managing Editor June Cao at:
june.cao@mdpi.com.

We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
June Cao
