Call For Papers | |||||||||||||
Abstracts (at least one but no more than two full pages) prepared using the template available should be submitted by 28th February 2014 as a PDF file attachment using our online form.
Abstracts must clearly describe the content of presentations and their basis (detailed case study, discussion of experience from practice, preliminary research data, completed research not presented previously, review of literature, administrative initiatives and regulations, etc) and may be submitted for oral or poster presentation. A leading author (who will present the paper at the Symposium) should be designated; each leading author may submit no more than three abstracts and will be considered as corresponding author by the Organization. Please note that the Organising Secretariat will confirm receipt of all abstracts. Authors not receiving an e-mail notifying receipt of their abstract should check with the Secretariat to ensure their abstract has been effectively received. The official language of the Symposium is English and all papers must therefore be written and presented in English. In addition, the Symposium will arrange a session to be held entirely in Italian, in order to facilitate the participation of local delegates. Italian authors may freely submit papers for inclusion in both English and Italian sessions (in English and Italian, respectively). Abstracts submitted for presentation will undergo a thorough selection process carried out by world leading waste management experts, represented by the Symposium International Advisory Board and Executive Programme Committee. Acceptance of abstracts will be notified to the leading author only by 31st March 2014. If notification has not been received by the above date, authors should contact the Organizers. Full papers should be addressed to the Organizers and received no later than 30th June 2014. Final papers should be prepared in accordance with the Instructions for Authors provided and their quality and contents should conform with the abstract originally submitted. Authors presenting their work in an oral session will also be requested to submit their PowerPoint presentations no later than 31st October 2014. All final papers accepted to Venice 2014, including papers scheduled in poster sessions, will be published on a dedicated set of Proceedings and submitted to Scopus and Thomson ISI (ISTP, CPCI, Web of Science) for indexing. Additionally, a number of leading papers will be invited to be peer-reviewed for potential publication on Waste Management, the scientific journal with the highest IF (2.485) in the field, published by Elsevier. |
