= General Information =
========================
Learning disability (LD) is an area including a number of discrete disorders, usually caused by an unknown factor, that negatively affect children’s ability to learn in a typical manner by having learning difficulties. The unknown factor is the disorder that affects the brain's ability to receive and process information, which make it problematic for a person/child to learn as quickly or in the same way as someone who is not affected by a learning disability. People with a learning disability have trouble performing specific types of skills or completing tasks if left to figure things out by themselves or if taught in conventional ways.
A learning disability can be a life-long condition affecting many aspects of life including education and employment, family life, and daily routines. However, persons with learning disabilities can learn. Academic and IT supports and accommodations can help the learning process for people with different types of LDs.

The main goal of this session is to provide an opportunity for the researchers from academia and industry to meet and discuss the latest solutions, scientific results, and methods in the usage and applications of ICT for managing different learning disabilities.
