= General Information =
========================
Many people around the world have significant limitations in their ability to perform one or more important life functions.
These limitations either are present from birth or result from injury, disease, or aging. They often result in disability and,
less often but still commonly, in handicaps. Whether a disability becomes a handicap depends on the interaction of the disabled
person with the physical and social environments surrounding that person, and many other factors. Technology is one of those other factors.
The influence of technology is felt in nearly every dimension of the lives of disabled people and in policies relating to disabilities.
The objective of this workshop is to provide a scientific forum gathering people from academia, research, and industry for discussing
the recent advances in information technology that support the disabled people.
