Situation Management is a new discipline which is primarily driven by the advances of sensor networks, event management, and situation awareness. The main goal of Situation Management is to provide semantically rich real-time views of observed areas or objects as needed in various domains, homeland security or disaster management for instance. These views base on sets of situations that are deduced from large-scale (integrated) real-time data sources by intelligent analysis. Dynamic workflows offer a possibility to pre-define a plan for supporting decision makers and task forces in situation handling. The purpose of this workshop is to bring together researchers and practitioners from the field of situation management. Contributions that propose innovative methods, tools and technologies that support situation management are highly welcome. Also, we are highly interested in contributions that report on experiences in situation management projects.
Relevant topics for submissions include, but are not limited to: Abnormal Situation Management Situation Awareness in Disaster Management Situation Awareness in Data Warehousing Information Quality and Integration Knowledge Acquisition & Management Sensor Networks and Sensor Data Management Process and Workflow Management Dynamic Workflows Workshop Chairs (issasim@faw.uni-linz.ac.at) Reinhard Stumptner, BIA Business Intelligence Accelerator GmbH, Austria Bernhard Freudenthaler, Software Competence Center Hagenberg GmbH, Austria PAPER SUBMISSION DETAILS Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research and application papers that are not being considered in another forum.
