The sixth edition of the International Symposium on signal, Image, Video and Communications will take place in the University of Valenciennes, France on July 4-6, 2012. During last years ISIVC has become an important event in the areas of digital signal, image, video processing and communications. Prospective authors, both academic and industrial, are invited to exchange their latest research, ideas and developments in all areas of fixed and wireless communications. The symposium will include regular papers for oral and poster sessions as well as some invited papers. Some papers will be selected for publication, after re-reviewing, of an extended version, in selected international journals. Indexation of selected papers in the IEEE Xplore digital library is also under consideration.
Topics of interest for submission include, but are not limited to:

 Signal, image and video processing
 Source, channel, and joint source-channel coding
 Digital communications over wired or wireless networks
 Channel characterization and estimation
 Diversity techniques and equalization
 QoS issues of multimedia services and applications
 Network architectures and protocols
 Network security and safety
 Cryptography, watermarking
 3D representation/recognition/retrieval
 Content based indexing and retrieval
 Embedded Systems and hardware implementation
 Systems Architectures and Applications
 Antennas, RF and Wireless Circuits and Systems
 Advanced Technologies (Nano, MEMS) for communications
 Digital Signal Processing techniques and applications (Acoustics, …)
 Biomedical signal processing, circuits and systems
 Intelligent transportation systems (V2V, V2I communications, radar, localization …)
 Sensing and Sensor Networks
 Green communications

Submissions on topics including intelligent transportation systems, sensor networks and green communications are widely encouraged.


Paper Submission:
Prospective authors are invited to submit a full 4-page paper (in pdf format). Style files (Word and Latex template) will be provided for the convenience of the authors. Only English submissions are accepted.

Important dates:
• Open paper submission : November 30, 2011
• Full paper submission deadline : January 30, 2012
• Notification of acceptance : April 15, 2012
• Submission of camera-ready papers : May 15, 2012
• Early registration due : April 15, 2012
• Main conference : July 4-6, 2012
