Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||||
The First International Workshop on Empirical Research in/for Service-Oriented Systems Engineering (ER-SOSE) will be held in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, in conjunction with the 8th IEEE Congress on Services. The workshop aims to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners i) to share experiences and issues with infrastructures, tools, and novel techniques for conducting empirical research in Service-Oriented Systems Engineering (SOSE) ii) to discuss innovative empirical studies in the different areas of SOSE, and iii) to create synergies through integration, and foster cross-cooperation among researchers, developers and practitioners.
TOPICS --------- We welcome articles that report any empirical research on any relevant aspect of SOSE. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following: - Infrastructures, platforms and tools to conduct large empirical studies; - Empirical research methods for SOSE; - Ethical issues for empirical research in SOSE; - Empirical studies (case studies, experiments, surveys, simulation experiments, etc) about methods, Techniques, and tools in SOSE; - User–centric evaluations of services oriented systems in specific domains (e.g. home care); - Experiences using Living labs to evaluate concepts or prototypes produced in SOSE; - Systematic reviews and mapping studies in any aspect of SOSE - Industrial experience reports in SOSE; SUBMISSION ----------------- Authors are invited to submit: full papers (8 pages) or short papers (4 pages) as per IEEE 8.5 x 11 manuscript guidelines (http://www.computer.org/cspress/instruct.htm ). All papers should be in PDF and submitted via at the submission system: http://www.confhub.com/conf.php?id=92 PROCEEDINGS ------------------ All the accepted papers by the workshops will be included in the Proceedings of the 8th IEEE 2012 Congress on Services (SERVICES 2012), which will be published by IEEE Computer Society.
