The AVANCA | CINEMA will hold its 6th edition in July 2015, bringing together researchers whose works focus on cinema and its relations with art, communication and technology.
In the 5th edition we had 205 participants, 197 communications in a proceedings book with 1488 pages published by Edições Cine-Clube de Avanca. The participants came from all around the world to the best edition ever.
During five days, in the small village of Avanca, cinema was the unifying theme which provokes fruitful encounters between participants and convert Avanca into a Cinema Village, a stage for sharing, debate and dissemination of their research.
The AVANCA | CINEMA asserts itself as a unique and important conference on the national and international scene, not only due to the average number of participants but also thanks to the broad range of themes presented in the last five editions. Moreover, the fact that this happens along with the Avanca Film Festival creates a complete event offering a varied program with workshops, screenings, book presentations, roundtables, plenary and parallel sessions to many researchers, academics, filmmakers, producers, actors, critics, technicians, moviegoers, among others.

Abstracts submission should be made until 15 January 2015 through the entry form available at http://www.avanca.org/EN/call_res.php
The abstracts submission must follow these parameters:
- Between 100 and 250 words in English;
- Title in one of the four official languages and in English;
- 5 key-words in English.
The conference has four official languages: Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.
