Call for Papers:
We invite researchers and practitioners to submit articles for the workshop entitled "Information Systems Interactive Spaces" to be held within the conference CISTI'2011, Chaves, Portugal. The Workshop on Information Systems for Interactive Spaces aims to become a forum for both researchers and practitioners from diverse backgrounds together to present case studies, problems, solutions and to discuss the state-of-the-art in this field in order to try to identify a vision for future developments in IS for interactive spaces. Topics of interest: The topics of interest for the workshop include, but are not limited to the following areas: - Collaborative and social systems - Mobile and ubiquitous systems - Mobile computing - Embedded applications / embedded computing - Models and interaction techniques - Context Aware Computing - Ambient Intelligence - Adaptability and personalization - Experiences and case studies - Simulation environments - Sensor networks - Virtual and augmented reality - Multi-user interfaces - Information privacy and security Paper Submission and Formatting Guidelines: We invite prospective authors to submit contributions, not yet published, reporting on either work under development or concluded projects about theoretical aspects or practical applications of the workshop topics. Paper must follow the formatting guidelines of the conference and should be written either in English, Portuguese or Spanish. We are accepting two types of submissions. Full papers: it must consist of original and relevant work where the research is completed or almost finished (6 pages maximum). Short paper: typically discuss new work and work in progress that is not yet mature enough for a long paper (4 pages maximum). All submissions go through a double-blind review process. The Workshop full papers will be published on the conference main proceedings on paper and on CD (ISI, IEEE XPlore and EBSCO). Short papers will be published on the conference CD (IEEE XPlore and EBSCO). Submissions should follow the guidelines of the main conference and formatting rules (http://www.aisti.eu/cisti2011/papersformat.pdf). Contributions should be sent by e-mail directly to the workshop organization ( fribeiro@ipcb.pt) either in DOC or in PDF file formats, and should exclude authors’ names and affiliations during the reviewing phase. This information, however, must be included in the body of the message, with the indication of a contacting author.
