About the Conference
Cloud Computing has emerged as a means of consolidating the IT infrastructure and providing the cloud consumers an on-demand access to the shared resources in the form of a service. The proliferation in the cloud deployment has been made possible by the advances in virtualization technology, networking technology and storage technology. The cloud computing approach enables business enterprises to reduce the total cost of ownership while providing the flexibility in the management of resources. There has been a rapid growth in adopting the cloud computing strategy; however it is still in its infancy in providing its full potential to the users. This is because, while the technology that enables cloud computing seems fairly mature, there are challenges related to security, manageability, administration, pricing/billing for the services offered by the cloud.
International Conference on Cloud Computing Technologies, Applications and Management 2012 (ICCCTAM-12) will be a platform for academicians, researchers, practitioners and users to discuss challenges in Cloud Computing and share their knowledge in the following three perspectives, but not limited to, thrust areas:
