Call For Papers

This workshop on “Letters by Early Modern Philosophers” will take place during the ISSEI conference of 02-06 July 2012. You will find more info at the conference site at http://issei2012.haifa.ac.il/ . The precise date of the workshop will be announced later on.
We are especially interested in papers which discuss (a) letter(s) written in the 17th century discussing controversial items at the border between early science and early modern philosophy, such as those by Galileo, Descartes, Mersenne, Boyle, Spinoza, Newton, Huygens, Hobbes, Oldenburg, Leibniz, and so on.

Please send an abstract of 500 words maximum to filip.buyse1@telenet.be if you wish to contribute to the workshop. The deadline for submitting your abstract is April 15, 2012. Participants whose abstract is accepted will receive an answer before May 15, 2012.
