The 7th International Workshop on Unique Chips and Systems (UCAS-7)
To be held in conjunction with the 18th International Symposium on High Performance Computer Architecture (HPCA-18) February 26, 2012 New Orleans, Louisiana, USA ** This workshop looks forward to bring together unique research in all areas of chip and system design. We are looking forward to assembling a program with unique technologies, circuits and architectures that your academic or industry team is working on. ** UCAS-7 will have 2 main subcategories (computer architecture and VLSI design) and WIP (Work in Progress) session. Topics of interest include but not limited to unique aspects of: -VLSI Systems -Nanoelectronics and Gigascale Systems -Software Systems -Grid computing -Mobile Cloud Computing -GPU / GPGPU -Pervasive Computing -Radiation hardened systems -Low Power Architectures and Systems -Low Power Software -Bioinformatics -Integrated Security Systems -Visualization -Biometrics / Biomedical -Data hiding -Blind Signal and Image Processing -Wireless ad hoc and sensor networks -Massively parallel architectures -Multithreaded architectures -Fine-grain parallel architectures -Many-core architectures -Multimedia and Mobile processors -Performance Evaluation and Workload Characterization -Unique technologies (quantum well optoelectronic, biologically inspired circuits systems, RF and high frequency, etc.) ** Submission Guideline: Prospective authors are invited to submit papers in standard IEEE two-column format -Regular sessions: not exceeding 8 pages (6~8 pages) -WIP (work-in-progress) session: 4 pages ** Submission site: will be available soon ** Important Dates: -Paper Submission: December 16, 2011 -Notification of Acceptance: January 16, 2012 -Final Version Due: January 23, 2012 ** Selected papers from previous UCAS were published in an edited book titled "Unique Chips and Systems". Selected papers from recent UCAS (including UCAS-7) will be published as another edited book.
