The 10th IEEE International Conference on Scalable Computing and Communications (ScalCom-2010), Bradford, UK, 29 June – 1 July, 2010
Sponsored by IEEE, IEEE Computer Society and IEEE Technical Committee of Scalable Computing (TCSC) *********************************************************************** Distinguished selected papers accepted and presented in ScalCom-2010, after further extensions, will be published in special issue of the following prestigious Journal indexed by SCI: - Telecommunication Systems – Springer - Simulation Modelling Practice and Theory – Elsevier Best Paper Awards will be awarded to two of the top quality papers. *********************************************************************** The following workshops will be held in conjunction with IEEE ScalCom-2010 conference. - The 2010 International Workshop on Frontiers of Secure Networks (IFSN 2010) http://www.ifsn09.cn/ifsn2010/ - The Second International Workshop on Sensing and Acting in Ubiquitous Environments (SEACUBE 2010) http://www.seacube.org/ INTRODUCTION ============ Scalability is a desirable quality for contemporary and future computing and communication systems and becomes one of the most important considerations during the design and deployment of these systems. With the rapid increases in the information volume and system complexity, new architecture and techniques are required to support the scalable computing and communications. The conference ScalCom-10 aims to provide an international forum for scientists, researchers and engineers to discuss challenges, launch original ideas, and showcase real-world problems on all aspects of scalability. ScalCom-10 is soliciting original and previously unpublished papers addressing research challenges and advances towards the design, implementation and evaluation of scalable computing and communication systems. ScalCom-10 will be held on 29 June – 1 July, 2010 in Bradford, UK. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to): A. Scalable computing Internet/Cluster/Grid Computing Peer-to-Peer Computing Mobile Computing and Networking Sensor Networks Data Mining Wireless Computing Trusted Computing Multimedia Services and Information Systems Scalability Issues on Multicore Architecture Scalability Issues on Performance Modeling and Evaluation B. Network technologies and applications Communication Technology Network and Interconnect Architecture Web Technology Network Storage Network Reliability, Security, and Dependability Network Algorithms Scheduling and Load Balancing C. Parallel and distributed systems Parallel Programming Models, Languages and Compilers Runtime Systems Operating System Issues on Parallel and distributed Architectures Resource Management Middleware Programming Environments and Tools Shared and Distributed Memory Parallel I/O and Storage Systems System Design Issues for Low Power and Energy Efficiency Multicore Design Issues IMPORTANT DATES =============== Submission Deadline: 08 February, 2010 Authors Notification: 26 March, 2010 Final Manuscript Due: 18 April, 2010 Conference dates: 29 June – 1 July, 2010 PAPER SUBMISSION GUIDELINE ========================== All papers need to be submitted electronically through the conference website (http://cse.stfx.ca/~ScalCom2010/sub/) with PDF format. The materials presented in the papers should not be published or under submission elsewhere. Submit a full paper with 8 pages (IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscripts style: two columns, single-spaced), including figures and references, using 10 fonts, and number each page. You can confirm the IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Author Guidelines at the following web page: URL: http://computer.org/cspress/instruct.htm Once accepted, the paper will be included into the IEEE conference proceedings published by IEEE Computer Society Press (indexed by EI).
