IBERAMIA 2020 will be held in Cartagena de Indias , Colombia, on November 18‐20, 2020, organized by the Universidad de Cartagena (www.unicartagena.edu.co) with the support of the Artificial Intelligence chapter of the Sociedad Colombiana de Computación . The conference is also sponsored by the main Ibero‐American Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science societies. IBERAMIA 2020 welcomes submissions on mainstream AI topics, as well as novel cross cutting work in related areas. We encourage submissions of research that cuts across technical areas and/or integrated capabilities. as well as application of AI techniques for social good, such as security, sustainability, health care, education, transportation, and commerce. Main topics may include but are not limited to the following: ● Agent technology, Multi‐Agent Systems. ● Ambient intelligence, Intelligence of things. ● AI in Education, Intelligent Tutoring Systems ● AI for social good, Recommender Systems. ● Bio‐inspired AI. ● Computational Intelligence, Soft Computing. ● Cognitive Systems, Cognitive Modeling. ● Game Theory and Interactive Entertainment. ● Human Aspects in AI, Affective Computing. ● Intelligent Human‐computer interaction. ● Knowledge Engineering, Knowledge Representation. As in previous conferences, accepted papers will be published in the series "Advances in Artificial Intelligence" of Springer‐Verlag LNAI. Submitted papers must not exceed 12 pages, including all tables, figures, and references and are required to be formatted in the Springer LNCS format (see http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html). Submissions over twelve pages will be rejected without review. Papers must be submitted through the EasyChair Conference System at : https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iberamia2020. The conference is organized in several areas. Authors should submit their paper to the most appropriate area for their work. All submissions will go through a peer review process, by independent PC members reviewing each submission. Reviewing will be blind, so author names and affiliations must be omitted from the submission, using instead the unique tracking number assigned by the conference system at the time of submission. In addition, self‐references in the text, like “in [Garcia 2015], we prove that” should be avoided, using instead references such as “[Garcia 2004] has proved that”. Submissions will be evaluated considering fitness to the conference, novelty of problem, novelty of approach, engagement with literature, quality of evaluation, scope and promise for social impact. Conference Registration and Attendance At least one author is required to register for the conference and be available to present the paper, and we encourage all authors to attend if possible. Best paper Award A “Best Paper Award” will be given to the authors of the best paper, as judged by the Best Paper Award Selection Committee. There will also be the “Best Paper Presentation Award” selected from the audience feedback collected during the IBERAMIA 2020. Journal Opportunities A select set of top‐rated papers may be nominated for fast track review at participating journals, including Knowledgebased System Journal and AI Communications. Thesis and Dissertation contest IBERAMIA 2020 starts a program to recognize the best thesis and the best dissertation in the area of AI finished in 2018, 2019 ou 2020.
