This yearʼs 13th Workshop on Digital Broadcasting features a new conference concept
and venue location: It will premiere a joint event co-locating the workshop together
with the Lokalrundfunktage. The Lokalrundfunktage is one of the major events of the
Bavarian regulatory authority for commercial broadcasting (BLM) and targets decision
makers and professionals from media and production industries.

Partnering both conferences at one location will bring together experts from research
institutes, universities, media, production and industry providing a forum to present and
discuss the latest developments in the field of digital broadcasting, media, and their applications.

Prospective authors are invited to submit a proposal for a contribution related to the
following areas:

+ Current and future transmission systems and networks
+ Layered or hybrid systems
+ Broadcasting using mobile networks and Internet technology
+ Data distribution systems (e.g. telemetry services)
+ New media services for radio and television
+ Audio and video coding for broadcast systems
+ Consumer terminal devices
