Call For Papers 7th International Conference on Information Society and Technology (ICIST 2017) in conjunction with the 23rd YUINFO 2017 Conference http://www.yuinfo.org/icist2017 https://www.facebook.com/icistkopaonik ******************** 7th International Conference on Information Society and Techology will be held on Kopaonik, Serbia on Mar 12-15, 2017. The main objective of the conference is to provide a platform for ICT oriented researchers and practitioners from all over the world to present their research results and development activities, to exchange experiences and new ideas, to discuss challenges, and to establish business or research relations for future collaboration. This year's ICIST special focus is at Internet-of-Things. ** ICIST2017 Conference topics Internet of Things (IoT) has attracted attention of major players in industrial landscape and it is currently one of the most expected emerging technologies. According to the 2015's Gartner's Hype Cycle for Internet of Things, IoT is currently at the "peak of inflated expectations". The development of IoT is also driven by the need to facilitate machine-to-machine (M2M) connectivity, which is emerging at unprecedented rate. Machina Research predicts that M2M connections will rise from two billion in 2012 to 12 billion in 2020. Cisco values IoT market to 19 trillion USD. According to the same source, only 0.6% of the physical objects the potential candidates for IoT are currently connected. Different sources refer to estimated 50 billion objects online on 2020. Is your work in any way related to this upcoming perfect tech storm? Do not miss the opportunity to have everybody know about it. Even if its not, you may still take on some of our standard topics of interest, as listed below. - Information Systems Systems Engineering. Enterprise Architecture and Modelling. Extended abstract must comply to the specific requirements, as it follows. The extended abstract must be submitted by using EasyChair platform. Instance of platform for ICIST 2017 conference has been already created and you can access it here: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=icist20170 (when submitting, select the Submission type: Extended abstract). The extended abstract must consicely and clearly highlight all following aspects: research motivation and the problem, the research question(s), methodology, description of the solution and/or the discussion. The evaluation of the extended abstracts will be double-blind. Thus, author names, addresses, emails and affiliations MUST NOT be included in the extended abstract. The extended abstract must be created by using this template: http://www.yuinfo.org/icist2017/templates/ICIST_2017_extended_abstract.dot, submitted in PDF format, and it MUST NOT exceed 3 A4 pages including figures. The extended abstracts will be reviewed by 1-3 members of the IPC. After the decisions are distributed, the authors with accepted abstracts will be invited to submit full papers for publishing in the ICIST 2017 Proceedings book. For preparation of the full papers, download the template here: http://www.yuinfo.org/icist2017/templates/IEEE_Word_Template.doc. The specific deadline for full papers will be April, 15th, 2017. In order to have the submitted full paper published in the Proceedings book, at least one author or co-author must be registered at the conference and present the paper in regular or poster session. - For track organizers: Call for Track Proposals We invite researchers to propose tracks on their particular field of interest, within the scope of the ICIST conferences. There should be one to three track co-chairs in each track and one of the co-chairs should be designated as the primary contact person. The responsibilities of the co-chairs are defined, as it follows. The co-chairs will promote the special track and take actions to ensure an adequate number of submissions. Minimum number of accepted papers for a succesful special track is 6 in regular sessions + 2 in poster. The special track co-chairs will organize a peer review process for the extended abstracts submitted to their track and propose the list of the papers to be included in the conference programme to IPC co-chairs. At least one of the co-chairs must be registered to the conference and serve as a session chair in his/her own track. The proposal for a special track must enclose the title and short abstract, list of co-chairs with their affiliations, list of potential reviewers, overview of the scientific communities (associations, working groups, standardization bodies, project consortiums, etc.) which the co-chairs will address and a proposal for a keynote (if the topic of the special track is related to a focal area of ICIST 2017 - Internet-of-Things). For submission of the special track proposals, use this template: http://www.yuinfo.org/icist2017/templates/ICIST_2017_track_proposal.dot. Special track proposals should not exceed 2 A4 pages and they should be submitted by using EasyChair platform before the deadline (Sep. 15, 2016). Click here: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=icist20170 to submit the Special Track proposal (when submitting, select the Submission type: Special track proposal). For each of the succesful tracks/special sessions, the organizer will cover the costs of stay (3 nights/HB) and registration costs for one person. Local transport arrangements also possible. - For industries: Call for Industry Track Presentations For the first time in ICIST history, we invite industry representatives to join us and share their ICT related issues, problems and partial solutions with us. The aim of the ICIST industry track is to gather industries and academics in an effort to identify possible synergies and find way to work together in an attempt to resolve real practical problems, by building upon existing scientific achievements. We invite industries to propose concise statements of the practical problems and/or their partial solutions. The relevance of the proposals will be formally reviewed by the ICIST co-chairs. Eligible proposal authors will be invited to participate in the industry track. Each of the invited authors will be assigned with 20 minutes slot in the track. Industry track proposals should be created by using this template: http://www.yuinfo.org/icist2017/templates/ICIST_2017_industry_challenge.dot. They should not exceed 2 A4 pages and they should be submitted by using EasyChair platform before the deadline (Dec. 15, 2016).
