Call For Papers

The developmental cycles of platforms and weapons rarely coincide. New platforms have to accommodate the existing weapon inventory; conversely older platforms have to integrate new weapon systems. The nature of warfare, with the implications of an evolving threat environment, can also develop ahead of platform or weapon capability.

This conference aims to explore the current and future capabilities of platforms and weapon systems. It will also consider the type of conflicts that may be encountered and whether the current capabilities are suitable.

A call for papers is currently open for this conference. Papers are invited on the following topics:
- Current and future platforms
- Current and future weapons
- The threat environment
- Future scenarios
- Integration issues
- Weapon systems architectures
- Rules of engagement
- Weaponised UAVs

To find out how to submit an abstract please visit our website www.aerosociety.com/events and read the full call for papers. The deadline for submitting abstracts is Friday 23 May 2014. The Organising Committee is working in conjunction with the UK MoD to organise this event. All classified material will be handled in accordance with MoD procedures.

Please note that this is a classified conference and open to UK NATIONALS ONLY. Speakers and delegates must already hold the necessary Government security clearance to get involved and will be required to submit a delegate security form, supplied by the RAeS, prior to the event. Registration for this conference will open shortly and close several days before the event to allow for security checks to be completed.
