Special Session on Cooperative Problem Solving (CPS 2013) website: http://wpit.am.gdynia.pl/CPS2013.html at 5th International Conference on Computational Collective Intelligence - Technologies and Applications (ICCCI 2013) website: http://software.ucv.ro/ICCCI2013/ Craiova, Romania 11-13 September 2013 =================================================================================== Introduction ------------ The aim of the special session on Cooperative Problem Solving is to bring together researchers interested in various problem solving techniques based on collective computational intelligence to share their experience, present current research results and discuss advanced techniques. Topics of submitted papers should focus on methods and applications where the tools and techniques exploiting collective computational intelligence are used to enhance, support or replace traditional approaches to solving optimization problems. In particular, we encourage papers reporting on the real-life applications of the cooperative problem solving. Topics of interests ------------------- Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: - Cooperative strategies for optimization - Collective decision making - Evolutionary and co-evolutionary algorithms and their applications - Swarm intelligence applications - Adaptive methods for optimizations - Distributed optimization - Agent-based modeling - Multi-agent optimization techniques and their applications - Application of intelligent techniques for optimization problems - Other related topics Information for authors ----------------------- The papers will be reviewed by the ICCCI 2013 International Program Committee. The best submissions will be selected for presentation and will be included in the conference proceedings. The papers should present results of the original and unpublished research. The conference proceedings will be published in the prestigious series Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence of Springer-Verlag and indexed by ISI (CP), EI, Scopus, DBLP, ACM Digital Library etc. Submitted papers should be prepared in LNCS/LNAI style and it should follow the instruction given at the ICCCI 2013 website. All papers must be submitted electronically using submission system available on the ICCCI 2013 website.
