1st Call for Papers
The First International Conference on Future Communication Networks (ICFCN'12) Al-Nahrain University, Baghdad, Iraq (9–12) April 2012 http://www.coie-nahrain.edu.iq The first International Conference on Future Communication Networks will be held at Al-Nahrain University, Baghdad, Iraq. It is a joint venture between Iraqi universities and VICTOR (a DELPHI project supported by British Council and Brunel University in U.K as a leading partner). The theme of the Conference is "Future Communication Networks". In addition to the high-class technical sessions, the conference will have feature panel sessions & tutorials. Attention is to be drawn to challenges facing the establishment and modification of telecommunications infrastructure & services in Iraq with possible solutions. All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed and accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. The proceedings will be published in IEEE xplor. The scope of the Conference covers, but not limited to, the following topics : Integration of Wired and Wireless Communications Optical Fiber Communications Multiplexing and Multiple Access Schemes Radio Propagation and Channel Modeling Green Radio Cognitive Radio Ad-hoc and wireless Sensor Networks Co-operative Communications Wireless Optical Communications Wireless Mesh Networks Cloud Networks MIMO Techniques and Smart Adaptive Antennas Efficient Modulation & Coding Physical Layer Network Coding Vertical Handover Convergence of Networks and Future Network Topologies Energy-Aware Network Architecture Cross Layer Optimization SDR and other Implementation Technologies Broadcasting for Mobile Applications Satellite Mobile Communications Trustworthy Networks, Privacy and Security Models Future Internet Communication Security Important Deadlines: Submission of papers : 31st December 2011 Notification of acceptance: 14th February 2012 Submission of camera-ready papers: 1st March 2012 Author registration : 15th February 2012 Submission of Papers Prospective authors are invited to submit full-length papers (not exceeding 6 pages) by 31st December 2011. Submitted papers should conform to the IEEE format (http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html ), and will be handled and processed electronically via the EDAS online submission system ( http://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=11347).
