to meet, interact and exchange ideas. Its charter is to promote the research
and development in emerging video streaming and multimedia networking.
The Packet Video Workshop is a single track events, and encourage paper
submissions from both cutting edge research and business and consumer
applications.

We welcome submission in the following areas:

* Distributed/centralized source coding for sensor arrays
* Scalable source coding for multiparty conferencing
* Error/loss resilient coding for telecommunications
* Low delay channel coding and error protection
* Voice and video over IP and wireless
* Network voice and video quality monitoring and management
* Priority-based QoS control and scheduling for real time applications
* Network utility maximization under bandwidth constraints
* Ad hoc and infrastructure-based overlay network communication
* Real time, low-delay P2P communication
* Channel coding, packetization, synchronization, buffering
* Cross-layer optimization for telecommunications
* Power aware media transmission

PV 2009 also organizes the following special session:

* Congestion control and FEC
* Peer-to-peer streaming
* VoIP and video conferencing

Prospective authors are asked to submit an electronic version of full papers,
in PDF format, not exceeding 10 printed pages (double column). At least one
