Electronic Media is related to the storage and delivery of multimedia data using electromechanical energy to access the content.
Networked and Electronic Media (NEM) is the convergence of media, communications, consumer electronics, and information technology by taking advantage of generalised broadband access, increased mobility, availability of richer media formats and contents, as well as new home networks and communications platforms. The Latin-American Conference on Networked Electronic Media focuses on fostering close links between Latin-American and non Latin-American players from academia and industry and intends to provide an ideal forum for researchers, practitioners and educators to discuss results and advancements in the field of Networked and Electronic Media (NEM), in a high quality and peer reviewed environment. Full papers on all aspects of Networked and Electronic Media, from academia, industry, NGOs and others should follow the IEEE guidelines for formatting and must be submitted as PDF documents via the online submission system (http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=lacnem2012).
