Call For Papers | |||||||||||||||
The first International Workshop on Wireless Peer-to-Peer Networking and its Advanced Applications is to be held in conjunction with International Conference on Parallel Processing (ICPP 2010) at San Diego, CA, U.S.A., between September 13 to 16, 2010.
* Aim and Scope With the recent technological advances in portability, mobility support, and wireless communications, wireless peer-to-peer networks (WP2PNs) such as mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs), wireless sensor networks (WSNs), and vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) are receiving tremendous attention due to their emerging applications ranging from civil to military and becoming a ubiquitous communication infrastructure. However, the design of WP2PNs is inherently complex and become challenge because of mobility, lack of coordination, unreliability, and resource constraints such as energy, bandwidth, computing power, etc. The purpose of this workshop is to provide researchers and professionals in academia and industry with a forum for presenting their progresses/contributions, discussing recent edge-cutting technologies and innovative applications, exchanging new research ideas, and thinking future research directions in WP2PNs. Please keep checking this workshop homepage for more information and updates. * Topics of Interest Topics of interest include, but are not limited to the following: Medium access control (MAC) protocols Routing protocols Secure routing and MAC protocols Cross-layer design and optimization Resource allocation and management Quality-of-service (QoS) provisioning Hybrid networks and architectures Data disseminating, aggregation and querying Data management and caching Power management Scheduling policies Mobility management and topology control Reliability, resiliency, and fault tolerance Performance modeling and analysis Network modeling and simulation Innovative applications and architectures Submission All paper submissions must be unpublished and must not be currently under review for any other publication. Papers will be handled electronically via the ICPP homepage under the submission page, and they should be formatted according to the IEEE standard (double-column format, 10 font size, 8.5 x 11 inches). The length of submissions, including figures, tables, and references, may be up to 6 pages. Please refer to the IEEE manuscript preparation page for details. All paper submissions will be peer reviewed by TPC members and judged based on their quality through the collective comments which will be provided to the authors. Should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors must attend the workshop to present the work. There will be no workshop-only registration but a full ICPP conference registration is required. * Important Dates Manuscript submission: April 15th, 2010 Acceptance notification: June 1st, 2010 Final manuscript: June 28th, 2010 |
