IEA/AIE 2017 - Special Track on Graphical Models: from Theory to Applications
30th International Conference on Industrial, Engineering, Other Applications of Applied Intelligent Systems IEA/AIE 2017 - June 27th-June 30th, Arras, France Special Track Organizers: Christophe Gonzales & Philippe Leray Introduction/Call for Contributed Papers In many real-world applications, especially in Artificial Intelligence, agents need to make decisions or to optimize functions under uncertain information. Successes in such applications stimulated the need to handle problems of ever increasing size and, by their decomposition ability, Graphical Models naturally imposed themselves as one of the most popular modeling and reasoning tool. The objective of this special track on “Graphical Models: from Theory to Applications” is to bring together researchers working on these models or exploiting them in their applications in order to share their experience and discuss the latest developments in this field. Graphical Models of interest for this special track include but are not limited to Bayesian networks, Markov random fields, credal networks, influence diagrams, factored Markov decision processes, sum-product networks, factor graphs. Prospective authors are invited to submit original papers to this Special Track. Within the scope of this session, areas of interest include, but are not limited to: Principles of graphical models of uncertainty Principles of graphical models for decision making Exact and approximate inference Temporal reasoning with graphical models Decision-theoretic planning and Markov decision processes Learning graphical models Elicitation of preferences represented with graphical models Practical applications of graphical models Software on graphical models Important Dates Nov. 15th,2016: Paper Submission Due Date. Jan. 15th 2017: Notification of Acceptance. ?: Final Camera Ready Form and Registration. Submission Manuscripts for this Special track should NOT be submitted in duplication to any other regular or special sessions and should be submitted to IEA-AIE main conference online submission system on IEA/AIE 2017 conference web site (please select track: Special Track on Graphical Models: from Theory to Applications). All submitted papers are limited to 10 pages. Special track program committee : to be announced |
