The 9th International Conference on Rough Sets and Knowledge Technology (RSKT 2014) will be held from October 24 to October 26, 2014 in Tongji University, Shanghai, China. RSKT 2014 is the 9th conference in a series of international scientific conferences on Rough Sets and Knowledge Technology. The aim of RSKT is to present the innovative results, encourage academic and industrial interaction, and promote collaborative research in rough sets and knowledge technology worldwide. In keeping with the aims of the past conferences, RSKT 2014 will provide opportunity to explore synergies between rough sets and state-of-the-art knowledge technologies, in terms of both foundations and applications.
The topics relevant to RSKT 2014 include, but are not limited to: (1) Foundations and Generalizations of Rough Sets Bayesian Rough Sets -Calculi of Approximation Spaces -Covering-based Rough Sets -Decision-theoretic Rough Sets -Dominance-based Rough Sets -Game-theoretic Rough Sets -Near Sets -Neighborhood Rough Sets -Neighborhood Rough Sets -Rough Sets in (Dynamic) Networks of Information Systems -Rough Granular Computing -Rough Mereology -Rough Uncertainty (2) Rough Sets in Data and Knowledge Processing -Adaptive Approximate Reasoning about Knowledge (Adaptive Judgment) -Interaction of Knowledge Sources -Interactive Rough Granular Computing -Ontology Approximation -Rough Sets in Knowledge Discovery, Data Mining, Machine Learning & Pattern Recognition (3) Hybridization of Rough Sets with Other Approaches (4) Applications of Rough Sets (5) Knowledge Technology Issues -Affective Computing -Approximate & Uncertain Reasoning -Cloud Computing -Computing with Words -Decision Support Systems -Domain-oriented Data-driven Data Mining -Evolutionary Computing -Formal Concept Analysis -Fuzzy Set Theory & Applications -Granular Computing -Hybrid Methods in Software Engineering -Intelligent Systems -Interactive Computing -Knowledge Discovery & Data Mining -Machine Learning -Multi Agent Systems -Methods of Bioinformatics -Multiple Criteria Decision Aiding -Multimedia Applications -Natural Computing -Neural Networks -Pattern Recognition & Image Processing -Perception based Computing -Petri Nets & Concurrency -Process Mining & Intelligent Planning -Semantic Web -Signal Processing -Social Networks -Spatio-Temporal Data Mining & Reasoning -Web Intelligence & Web Mining Paper Submission: Both research and application papers are solicited. All submitted papers will be reviewed on the basis of technical quality, relevance, significance, and clarity. Each paper should be 10-12 pages long in the Springer-Verlag LNCS style, including figures, tables and references. Springer-Verlag author instructions are available at: http://www.springer.com/lncs. Please submit your paper in PDF format by May 10, 2014 via our electronic paper submission system. The URL for paper submission system is https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=rskt2014. We strongly recommend the use of LaTeX style files for this year's conference. Publication All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings by Springer-Verlag in the Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence (LNAI) series, which is published, in parallel to the printed books, in full-text electronic form via http://link.springer.com/. |
