The International Workshop on Application of Thresholds in Algorithms, Circuits and Systems (Threshnomics-2014) provides a forum to discuss a wide range of topics in the emerging area of threshonomics. The suffix ‘-omics’ has been added to the names of many fields to denote studies undertaken on a large scale. Threshold science has become pervasive in everyday life of making decisions at different levels of importance within varying velocity and volume.

Threshnomics-2014 provides the researchers with an opportunity to discuss Threshnomics as applied to algorithms, circuits and electronic systems. Threshnomics-2014 is affiliated with third International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communications and Informatics (ICACCI-2014), Delhi, India.

The scope of this workshop includes but not limited to the following topics:

• Threshold Logic algorithms and circuits
• Outlier detection, removal and statistics
• Binary and multi-level decisions
• Memristive, and neural networks
• Fuzzy sets using thresholds
• Thresholds in probability theory
• Application of threshold in optimization problems
