The Second International Workshop on All-IP Next Generation Networks (AIPNGN-2012), Liverpool, UK, 25-27 June, 2012
http://cs.hope.ac.uk/aipngn2012/ To be held in conjunction with the IUCC-2012 The accepted papers from this workshop will be published in the IUCC-12 conference/workshop proceedings by IEEE Computer Society, and will be indexed by EI. Distinguished selected high-quality papers from the workshop, after further significant extensions, will be recommended for submission and possible publication in the Special Issues of SCI-indexed international journals. Paper Submission Deadline:21 March, 2012 INTRODUCTION ============ IP provides a globally successful open infrastructure for the delivery of heterogeneous services and applications for voice, video and text. All-IP wireless and wireline networks could make the next generation networks more robust, scalable, and cost-effective. The evolution of All-IP next generation networks is being carried forward by industry, government, and academia representing a variety of fields and backgrounds – communications and networking, computer engineering, and information technology. With the rapid increases in the service heterogeneity, information volume, and system complexity, new architectures and techniques are required to support the deployment of attractive, reliable and secure All-IP networks. AIPNGN-2012 will bring together computer scientists and engineers in different disciplines to share and exchange their experiences and ideas and discuss state-of-the-art and in-progress research on all aspects of All-IP networks. This workshop is soliciting original and previously unpublished papers addressing research challenges and advances towards the design, implementation and evaluation of All-IP next generation networks. Topics of particular interests include the following tracks, but are not limited to: * Content centric networks * Social networking * P2P multimedia networks * Wireless networks and systems * Mobile computing * Cloud computing * Application development frameworks * APIs for IP communication * Context-aware services * IMS and NGN services * Virtualization * Traffic and QoS measurement of multimedia traffic * Scalability of large-scale IP networks * Service discovery * Security in IP networks * Resource management * Energy consumption and energy management * Mobility, handoff, and location management * Cross-layer design and optimization * Performance modeling and evaluation IMPORTANT DATES =============== Submission Deadline: 21 March, 2012 Authors Notification: 18 April, 2012 Final Manuscript Due: 08 May, 2012 Registration Due: 08 May, 2012 Conference Date: 25-27 June, 2012 PAPER SUBMISSION GUIDELINE ========================== Prospective authors are invited to submit manuscripts reporting original unpublished research and recent developments in the topics related to the workshop. The length of the papers should not exceed 6 pages + 2 pages for overlength charges (IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Manuscripts style: two columns, single-spaced, 10-point font), including figures and references. You can confirm the IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Author Guidelines at the following web page: URL: http://computer.org/cspress/instruct.htm Papers should be submitted electronically in PDF format and sent as an e-mail attachment to Dr. Jia Hu at AIPNGN@gmail.com and huj@hope.ac.uk All papers will be peer reviewed and the comments will be provided to the authors. Once accepted, the paper will be included into the IEEE conference proceedings published by IEEE Computer Society Press (indexed by EI).
