The 2012 IEEE Radio and Wireless Week (RWW2012) will be held during the week of January 15, 2012 in Santa Clara, CA. During RWW there are multiple conferences touching on the intersection between radio systems and wireless technology and applications, which creates unique forums for engineers to discuss hardware design and system performance of the state-of-the-art wireless systems. In addition to oral presentations and posters, RWW 2012 includes workshops, panels and an exhibition. This year, a new demo track will be held to provide an interactive forum for hands-on demonstration of latest wireless experiments and innovations.
*** RWS2012 *** RWS2012 is the cornerstone event for RWW covering the latest results in wireless technology providing a unique comprehensive view of the wireless field from system level design to implementation, particularly for commercial wireless communication system such as 3G/4G, LTE, WLAN, SDR, 802.xx, UWB, RFID and others from RF to mm-wave frequencies. Papers are solicited on all areas of radio and wireless systems including (but not limited to): - Passive Antennas - MIMO, Signal Processing, and Smart Antennas - Propagation Channel Modeling and Utilization - Transceivers & Front-end Technologies, SOC & SiP - Wireless System Architecture and Modeling - Emerging Wireless Technologies and Applications - Digital Signal Processing as Applied to Wireless - Passive Components & Packaging - System Level Design, Modeling, and Simulation - Signal Generation and Modulation Circuits - High-speed and Broadband Wireless Technologies - Software Defined Radios and Cognitive Radios *** PAWR2012 *** PAWR 2012 will focus on Power Amplifiers, often the most critical component of RF/microwave communications systems and consequently the focus of intense research to achieve increased linearity and power efficiency. Papers featuring innovative work are solicited in (but not limited to) the following areas: - High Power/Wideband Active Devices - Applications and Novel Architectures - Modeling and Characterization - Linearization & Efficiency Enhancement Techniques - Advanced Circuit Design and Topologies - Packaging and Integration Technology *** BioWireleSS2012 *** BioWireleSS 2012 will focus on the wireless revolution that has begun to infiltrate the medical community with patient health monitoring, telesurgery, mobile wireless biosensor systems, and wireless tracking of patients and assets becoming a reality. Papers featuring innovative work are solicited in (but not limited to) the following areas: - Miniaturization of Wireless Technologies - Micro Sensors for Medical Applications - Personal & Body area Networks in Hospitals - High Data Rate Wireless Protocols for Biosignals - Wireless Positioning Technologies in Medicine - Microwave Systems for Imaging and Diagnostics - Biomedical Devices for Remote Monitoring - Microwave Interaction with Biological Tissues - Energy Scavenging & Biosensor E-textiles - Implantable Biomedical Microsystems *** WiSNet2012 *** WiSNet 2012 will focus on RF and millimeter-wave sensors and wireless sensor networks that are critical system components for manufacturing, monitoring, safety as well as positioning and tracking applications. Papers featuring innovative work are solicited in (but not limited to) the following areas: - Sensors for Communication/Radar/Positioning/Imaging - Integrated RF/mm-Wave Sensor Frontends or Blocks - Indoor & Outdoor Local Positioning Technologies - High-Precision Ultra-Wideband Techniques - Wireless Sensors Networks & Smart Sensor Systems - RFID & SAW ID Tag Technologies *** SiRF2012 *** continues to be the only conference devoted to Si-based devices, passives, integrated circuits, and applications for high frequency systems. Over three days of the conference, papers and sessions will highlight the significant technological advances of this dynamic field, as well as provide a unique forum for the presentation of new ideas and candid exchange on emerging challenges and opportunities. Our popular single session format will further allow active interactions between all participants. Invited tutorial talks from international experts will provide overviews of related key topical areas, and a best student paper competition will be held to promote contribution from academia.
