ICT-MobileSummit 2009 takes place in the Historical City of Santander, 10 - 12 June 2009. This is the eighteenth in a series of Annual Conferences supported by the European Commission, which regularly attracts over 600 delegates from industry and research to share experiences and research results, identify future trends, discuss business opportunities and identify opportunities for international research collaboration under the ICT Theme of Framework Programme 7 (FP7). It will thus contribute to showcasing European research in the field, and position it within the multiplicity of related initiatives supported in other regions of the world.
ICT-MobileSummit 2009 will address all the challenges of building the Future Internet, which will be based on mobile, wireless and fixed broadband communications infrastructures. The impact of such Future Networks on the underlying Internet infrastructure will continue to be emphasized in the 2009 Summit. Technology enabling services and applications for billions of users involving trillions of interconnected potentially mobile devices will be addressed at the event. The Scientific Programme incorporates all the key constituents of future communication networks including the themes Radio Access and Spectrum, Converged and Optical Networks, and Future Internet Technologies. Supported by the European Commission and eMobility, the ICT-MobileSummit's reputation is based on high quality paper sessions that showcase original results in all areas of wireless communications systems and networks, including Mobile and Fixed, Terrestrial and Satellite. While European funded research results are of particular interest, innovative research funded commercially or at national level is equally interesting from a community perspective. The participation of representatives of leading commercial, research and regulatory organizations in the Conference Community ensures a stimulating and high quality networking environment. The Call for Papers for ICT-MobileSummit 2009 is published with a deadline of 16th January 2009 for online submission of papers. Four pre-conference workshops and FP6/FP7 Cluster Meetings will take place on Tuesday 09 June at the ICT-MobileSummit venue (Palacio de La Magdalena, Santander): Dynamic Spectrum Management in Cognitive Radio Networks, Channel Coding and Cooperation in Wireless Communications, Self-organisation for Beyond 3G Wireless Networks and Future Internet. Click here for more information. The Call for Exhibitors is open with a closing date of 31 January 2009. ICT-MobileSummit 2009 is supported by the European Commission and eMobility. The conference programme will combine strategic keynote presentations and parallel paper presentations. ICT-MobileSummit 2009 will also feature an Exhibition, Pre-Conference Workshops and an attractive Social Programme for partners, presenters, delegates and exhibitors, to enhance networking opportunities both during and after the Conference. Call for Papers Papers of 6 - 8 pages are invited for ICT-MobileSummit 2009. The conference language is English and papers should be Research, Technical, Visionary or Techno-Economic Scenarios in focus. Papers must highlight Level of Innovation as well as Actual or Expected Impact. Papers must present Analysis of Initial or Final Research Results, including where appropriate, Results of Commercial Exploitation. It should focus on a research topic on which either a case study, initial or final results can be published. General project descriptions are not appropriate.
