Dear Professor/a:
I trust this e-mail finds you well! You are receiving this e-mail because of your expertise in Information Technology and Communications, E-Commerce and Payment Systems. As such, I would like to cordially invite you to consider contributing your expertise to a forthcoming book edited by me and Dr. Muñoz-Leiva, Dr. Sánchez-Fernández and Dra. Martínez-Fiestas of the University of Granada, Spain, entitled Electronic Payment Systems for Competitive Advantage in Ecommerce. This proposal focuses on the importance of e-commerce in business development, including its advantages and possible disadvantages. New retail formats (e.g. Business to Consumer, Peer to Peer, etc.) in trade, electronic banking, mobile commerce (M-commerce), social networks and social commerce (S-Commerce, specifically including Facebook or F-Commerce) are discussed. The on-going development and growing importance of these concepts demonstrates the need for reliable knowledge about payment systems for each type of e-commerce. Scientific literature classifies different payment systems according to business models, transaction amounts, and type of payment validation, type of device, the nature of relationships, the medium used and the formula for money transfer in a given transaction. Security measures, user confidence and satisfaction must also be included in the review of any payment system. In addition there are new payment formats for different services (mobile ticketing, mobile parking, mobile remittance, mobile POS, etc.), different technologies, (SMS, WAP, NFC, USSD, Voice, etc.) and different purposes for each format (m -payment, m-order, m-banking, m-delivery, etc.). In this light, our proposal reviews traditional and modern payment systems, including the security of each and an analysis their intended use. As you have a specific interest in this matter, I would like to invite you to contribute a chapter on this topic. However, please know that your contribution would not be limited to that topic; should you be so inclined, please feel free to write your chapter on any of the other following topics instead: M-Commerce S-Commerce F-Commerce Y-Commerce Online Payment Systems M-Payment Social Media Payment B2B, B2C Security in E-Commerce, M-Commerce, M-Payment New Payment System NFC, SMS, WAP, etc. Security protocols (SSL, SET, 3D, etc.) E-Wom Case studies Should you accept this invitation, I would like to kindly ask that, on or before January 15, 2013, you submit via e-mail a 2-3 page chapter proposal for review that clearly explains the mission and concern of your proposed chapter. Should your proposal be accepted, you will be notified by January 30, 2013, and given until April 30, 2013, to submit your chapter upon which it will be sent for double-blind peer review. This book is scheduled to be published by IGI Global (formerly Idea Group Inc.), publisher of the “Information Science Reference” (formerly Idea Group Reference), “Medical Information Science Reference,” “Business Science Reference,” and “Engineering Science Reference” imprints.
