Call For Papers

Call for Papers

The European Conference on Computer Systems (EuroSys) is the premier forum for presenting computer systems research in Europe. EuroSys'13 seeks papers on all areas of computer systems research, including, but not limited to:

Cloud computing
Databases
Dependable computing
Distributed computing
File and storage systems
Interaction between hardware and software
Networking
Mobile and pervasive computing
Multicore systems
Operating systems
Parallel computing
Programming-language support and runtime systems
Real-time and embedded systems
Security

Papers will be judged primarily on their expected impact on the systems community. Novelty, significance, correctness, and clarity will be the key criteria. We encourage both papers with original ideas and experience papers with useful lessons. We also encourage papers that bridge research in different communities or refute previous results. Acceptance will be provisional, subject to further shepherding by a member of the program committee before final acceptance.

Reviewing will be double-blind. Papers must not identify the authors and authors' identities will be hidden from the reviewers. Submissions may not exceed 12 pages double column, including everything (i.e., figures, tables, references, appendices, etc.), and should use a 10pt font. Papers must be formatted according to the ACM SIGPLAN style, for which templates are available for both LaTeX and Word. No changes to margins, spacing, or font sizes are allowed from those specified by the style file. Papers that violate the submission guidelines will be automatically rejected regardless of their merit. Accepted papers will be allowed 14 pages in the proceedings. At least one author of an accepted paper will be expected to travel to the conference to present it.

All submissions will be treated as confidential prior to publication. EuroSys applies ACM's policies for plagiarism, submission confidentiality, reviewer anonymity, and prior and concurrent paper submission. EuroSys implements confidentiality of submissions by limiting access to submitted papers to the PC members and external reviewers, and by publishing the names of all external reviewers. Submissions accompanied by nondisclosure agreement forms will not be considered.

Authors who are unsure whether or not their submissions meet these guidelines, or with specific questions about the guidelines, are welcome to contact the program committee co-chairs, via eurosys2013-chairs@pdos.csail.mit.edu.

In addition to paper presentations, EuroSys'13 will have a poster session. Submissions for posters will open closer to the conference deadline. Accepted papers will automatically qualify for the poster session, and authors will be strongly encouraged to participate.
