(S)Movies: Spanish Cinema Now International Workshop.
12 to 17 December at the Lincoln Center in New York

(S)Movies. Spanish Cinema Now. International Workshop on contemporary Spanish Cinema organized by Film Society of Lincoln Center (New York, US) and Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (Spain). The workshop will be held the week of 12 to 17 December at the Lincoln Center in New York. The languages of the workshop will be both English and Spanish.

For the past twenty years the Lincoln Center Film Society has held a festival each year dedicated to contemporary Spanish cinema under the name of Spanish Cinema Now. To celebrate its twentieth anniversary, and as part of the program of events for the dissemination of Spanish culture to be held by the Consulate General of Spain in New York City throughout 2011, an international workshop entitled (S) Movies is included in the festival program: Spanish Cinema Now. The main objective of this conference is to analyze Spanish cinema over the past two decades: the last decade of the twentieth century and the first decade of the twenty-first century.
