The IET/ACostE Project Control Technical and Professional Network are pleased to announce the Terry Bishop Award.

This award recognises innovation within the Project Control discipline. It looks for new approaches that have yielded success, ultimately adding value to the project.

The Terry Bishop Award has been launched in 2011 to commemorate the contribution Terry Bishop made to the Project Controls profession. Terry, a former President of ACostE instigated the collaborative partnership between the Association of Cost Engineers and the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

The judges, comprising of senior members of the Association of Cost Engineers and The IET are inviting submissions that demonstrate a Value Improving Practice. This could be a project tool, practice or an innovative technique.

Best Engagement of Risk Management Process with Control of Budgets and Schedules
Best Innovation in Joint Management of Risk

All the nominees will be invited to the ACostE Annual Dinner on Wednesday 02 November 2011 in Coventry, UK, where the winning paper will receive a cash prize of £500.

The winning paper, along with the runner-up papers will be published by the IET and the ACostE as well as hold a feature position on the joint IET- ACostE Project Control TPN website.
